{"id":20,"date":"2016-09-06T14:04:17","date_gmt":"2016-09-06T19:04:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/1904worldsfairsociety.org\/wfs\/?page_id=20"},"modified":"2023-04-04T21:53:07","modified_gmt":"2023-04-05T02:53:07","slug":"calendar","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/1904worldsfairsociety.org\/wfs\/calendar\/","title":{"rendered":"Calendar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">The 1904 World&#8217;s Fair Society has monthly membership meetings with programs on various topics relating to the Fair.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">It has always been a tradition of the organization to have a meeting near the end of April to celebrate &#8220;opening day&#8221;, (the day the fair opened, April 30th,1904), and to have a &#8220;closing day&#8221; banquet in December (the day the fair closed, December 1st, 1904) .<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Most meetings have a drawing for an attendance prize for members attending the meeting. You may register every time you attend a meeting at the reception table near the door.\u00a0 Attending more meetings will give you more opportunities to win.\u00a0 Attendance prizes will vary. Often they will match the subject of the meeting.\u00a0 You must be present to win.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">The meetings are always well attended with people very knowledgeable about the fair. Please feel free to attend and ask questions.
